Tracy A. Smith is the Director of Administration at Third Act Development. She is a dedicated administrative professional with over 15 years of organizational experience in supporting high-level executives and managing diverse responsibilities.
Tracy currently serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the County Executive of Westchester County in White Plains, NY. Tracy brings her expertise in government administration to her role and excels at interdepartmental correspondence management, coordination & logistics, and fiscal responsibilities. She spearheads the extensive communications, scheduling, and transportation efforts within the agency. She maintains extensive contact with all departments, fostering collaboration and smooth workflow across the organization, allowing for optimized productivity for executive leadership. Her demonstration of being meticulous and seamless across her key responsibilities has ensured accuracy and timeliness across departments. Tracy oversees constituent services, demonstrating a commitment to serving the community and addressing citizen needs effectively.
From 2008 to 2018, Tracy served as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Mayor of Mount Vernon, NY, where she demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. Concurrently, she also held the position of Administrative Assistant to the Corporation Counsel of the Mount Vernon Law Department from 2012 to 2018, where she managed various administrative tasks with precision and efficiency. Including management of the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests with professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
In addition to her governmental roles, Tracy has also contributed to the education sector as a Certified Teaching Assistant in the Mount Vernon City School District from 2006 to 2008. Her passion for supporting others extends to her previous positions as a Receptionist for Tappan Hill Abigail Kirsh and Conference Planner for the IBM Conference Center, where she honed her customer service and event coordination skills.
Tracy's commitment to public service is further evidenced by her affiliation with the United States Army Reserves as a JAG Office Assistant from 1992 to 1996. She is also an active member and District Leader of the Black Women’s Political Caucus, where she continues to advocate for community empowerment and social justice.
