Raizy Haas is Third Act Development’s Construction expert with over 25 years of experience in the real estate development arena. For more than twenty years, she has served as a Senior member at one of New York City’s most prolific development firms.
Raizy is an active Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) member of the Zoning and Land Use Committee and holds a real estate brokerage license in the state of New York. Her most notable role was as Senior Vice President of Development for Extell, one of New York City’s premier real estate developers, Raizy was a pivotal asset and was responsible for all phases of development, including site assemblage, acquisitions, pre-development planning, asset management, sales, and marketing.
Throughout her successful career, Raizy assisted in the development of over 20 million square feet of residential, commercial, and multi-use projects. In 2020, she became a widely coveted consultant and continues to work with real estate industry greats. Her portfolio consists of developments that reach over the $1 Billion mark, including One57 / Park Hyatt Residences, a 90-story five-star tower on 57th St., The Lucida, the first LEED-certified green building luxury unit in the Upper East Side, The International Gem Tower, a state of the art project designed to meet the complex needs of specialty diamond dealers, utilizing secure technology, and Central Park Tower, currently under construction, that will be over 1,500’ tall, making it the world’s tallest residential building, just to name a few.
Raizy is known for her impeccable work ethics that emphasize collaboration and innovation while partnering with municipal agencies, construction, finance, brokerage, sales, and marketing networks in New York City. She has been interfacing and consulting with numerous zoning, land use, municipal, and state economic development agencies, legal, finance, and construction consultants across New York State since 1999. She has also forged countless strategic relationships across commercial and residential brokerage communities, elected officials, and in the private sector, as she displayed in 2010 when she secured the approval and designation of Extell’s International Gem Tower as a Foreign-Trade Zone.
Her reputation throughout the industry as a tenacious catalyst who completes complex tasks from inception to completion is well-founded. Raizy has served on multiple boards of directors, including The Real Estate Board of New York’s Land Use and Zoning Committee, The 47th Street Diamond Business Improvement District, and The Friends of Governor’s Island. In 2006, she was featured as one of Crain’s Magazine’s “40 under 40” top business executives.
Raizy is a native of Brooklyn’s Borough Park and is a married mother of two.
